Who is Johannes Stark?

Johannes Stark was born in 1874 in Germany. Johannes Stark was a german physicist who won noble prize in 1919 for the discovery that magnetic fields could cut specral lines. With his money from winning the Nobel Prize he used the money and resighned his chair at Wurzburg to attempte a career in the pocelain industry. Failing in this he tried to get back to his acedemic life despite having antagonized almost all his fellow physicsists

 

What was Johannes Starks past like?

Johannes served as a professor of physics at the university of Greifswald and later at the university of Wurzburg in Germany. He was the presitent of the Reich Physical-Technical institute from 1933 to 1939. Stark was a follower af Hitler and part of the Nazi party. In 1947 a German Denazification Court sentenced him to four years in a labour camp. He died in 1957.
